Why Durax

Durax is a specialty contractor in temporary pumping and HDPE pipe fusion. We are a small, growing team: here, everyone does a bit of everything and learns directly in the field, on specialized equipment few companies master — butt fusion machines, electrofusion, jobsite pumping systems.

Our projects take us to municipal jobsites, quarries, mines and industrial facilities across Quebec and Ontario. If you like hands-on work that is done right and well organized, you are in the right place.

Profiles we are looking for

We accept applications at any time for the following profiles:

• HDPE fusion technicianOn-site HDPE pipe welding by butt fusion and electrofusion, pipe preparation and tie-ins, drawing reading. HDPE fusion experience is a strong asset.
• Pump operator / field technicianInstallation, commissioning and monitoring of temporary pumping systems: pipeline bypass, dewatering, emergency pumping. Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge an asset. Availability for on-site monitoring shifts.
• Labourer / field helperSupport to the fusion and pumping crews: pipe handling, site preparation, small concrete works. No experience required — reliability and attitude come first.

What you need

• Valid class 5 driver's licence
• ASP Construction card (general health and safety on construction sites) — an asset; otherwise, enrolment in the course before the first jobsite
• CCQ competency card — an asset, some of our jobsites are subject to it
• Availability for out-of-town jobsites, Monday to Friday
• Autonomy, reliability and a constant focus on safety
