Our Concrete and Light Civil Works

The Civil Works division of Durax complements our pumping services by providing the concrete structures and light civil works needed for temporary pumping systems to function properly. We also perform this work as standalone contracts for clients who need small concrete structures without mobilizing a heavy civil engineering contractor.

Our field expertise in pumping gives us a unique understanding of the structural constraints associated with pumping systems: dynamic pump loads, vibrations, thrust forces from pressurized pipelines, and variable soil conditions. This expertise translates directly into the quality of our concrete work.

Types of Structures

• Pump anchor blocksConcrete bases sized to support the static and dynamic loads of centrifugal and self-priming pumps. Includes mechanical anchors, positioning guides, and drainage channels.
• Slabs and footingsSupport slabs for pumping, generation, and storage equipment. Foundation footings for temporary site structures.
• Thrust blocksConcrete blocks designed to absorb thrust forces at bends and direction changes in pressurized pipelines.
• Formwork and finishingCustom formwork, pouring, and concrete finishing for special structures that don't fit standard categories.
• Light excavationSite preparation, trench digging, and grading for foundation and piping installation.

Supporting Pumping Projects

The majority of our civil works are performed in direct support of our temporary pumping projects. When we install a complete pumping system, concrete structures are often required: anchor blocks to stabilize pumps, slabs for auxiliary equipment, and thrust blocks for pressurized pipelines. By integrating this work into our offering, we eliminate coordination with an additional subcontractor and ensure structures are sized exactly for the actual system loads.

Standalone Contracts

We also accept standalone concrete contracts independent of our pumping projects. If you need small concrete structures for your jobsite — slabs, footings, anchor blocks — and the scope doesn't justify a heavy civil engineering contractor, contact us. We deliver the same quality of execution and follow-up as for our integrated projects.

Engineering Solutions

For structures that require structural validation, Durax offers tailored engineering services. We can provide sealed engineering drawings for counterweight design, anchor blocks, equipment foundations, and other structural works. Whether to meet owner requirements or ensure installation compliance, we have the capacity to produce the necessary technical documentation.
